2 Italian sausages, hot or mild.
Cut in halves, quarters, whatever you like.
2 Tablespoons olive oil
2 bell peppers
3 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 (14 ounce) can whole tomatoes, crushed or blended
1 teaspoon basil
In a skillet or Dutch oven, fry the peppers and onions in olive oil until the peppers are just soft. Cook sausage in a separate pan. Add garlic to the sausage and cook for 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and basil. Cover and simmer for about 30 minutes, sturring often. Serve on sandwiches, over egg noodles, pasta or whatever.
